Example material handling challenges that we have solved in the past.
project 01
CHALLeNGE
Customer needed a more efficient way to transport, stage, and deliver automotive doors throughout their facility. Their application required a cart attachment designed around their specific material flow, equipment, and handling requirements.
SOLUTION
Element designed a custom cart attachment and a trolley system tailored to the application and production environment. The final design supports efficient material movement with a lift-assist arm while helping reduce handling time, improve safety, and maintain a smoother production flow.
project 02
CHALLeNGE
Develop and manufacture an AMR docking stand that can allow an operator to rotate the platform after the material has been delivered.
SOLUTION
Our engineering team performed an in-depth study on AMR docking and navigation requirements, as well as center of gravity and payload stability to develop a product that met ergonomic guidelines for rotation force and reach.
project 03
CHALLeNGE
Develop and manufacture a product cart compatible with an OTTO 100 AMR, capable of withstanding fork truck loading.
SOLUTION
Our engineering team compiled information related to AMR docking and navigation specification and anticipated external loads to generate a robust solution that could be manufactured quickly.
project 04
CHALLeNGE
Develop and manufacture a device to recover an AMR cart if an OTTO 100 breaks down. Device must be manual so a human operator can easily pick a cart and move it to the final destination.
SOLUTION
Our engineering team quickly developed a solution and had a prototype ready in 4 days. This solution was ergonomic, easy to use, and met all customer requirements.
The solution has a latch to securely lock onto the cart legs for safe transport and also has an option to lower the handle so it can be pulled by a tugger.
